Objectives

General objective:

After completing this module, the student/applicant will be able to:
- list and describe the air-ground collaborative applications currently implemented and future developments, and list associated operational gains for airlines and ATM.

Detailed objectives:

After completing this module, the student/applicant will be able to:
- For collaborative applications for airlines
o describe representative ACARS applications for airlines operations control
o describe main on-board information system and in-flight entertainment functions
- For collaborative applications for ATM
o describe the future of ATM where air-ground cooperative applications will operate
o describe the implementation of Future Air Navigation System (FANS)
o characterize both ground and air oriented ADS applications
