Objectives

General objective:

After completing this module, the student/applicant will be able to:
- Explain and describe the technologies of the advanced A/G communications systems used by civil aviation, from a technical view
- Name the emerging technologies.

Detailed objectives:

After completing this module, the student/applicant will be able to:
- Explain and describe radio coverage and ground stations’ co-site interference issues of the air-ground voice communications
- Explain and describe the air-ground sub-networks
- Describe the airborne architectures
- Explain and describe the networks communication technologies
- Explain and describe the applications and implementation aspects
- Explain and describe the current and future security mechanisms to improve aeronautical A/G communications
