SP6002E - Basic PVT computation

Objectives

General objective:

After completing this module, the student/applicant will be able to:
- Describe and explain the fundamentals of GNSS positioning mechanisms using GPS L1 C/A pseudorange measurements and observables
- Handle the methods to implement the computation of the user position, velocity and time (PVT) in single frequency single constellation case.
- Analyse the position estimate accuracy regarding the parameters that may impact the performance

Detailed objectives:

After completing this module, the student/applicant will be able to:
- Implement satellite position computation
- Handle the pseudorange measurement models
- Implement the data processing to correct measurement systematic errors due to ground segment and propagation
- Implement basic PVT computation
- Analyse the performance of the position estimate
