Objectives

General objective:

Explain the sustainable airport development challenge and describe the relation between airport and its environment: What are the possible physics, biologics and human impacts or constraints?

Detailed objectives:

The student will be able to:
1 - Explain the sustainable airport development challenge and describe an airport environment study. Explain the relation between all the airport actors (Like CEM - Collaborative environmental management) and between the airport and its environment. What are the possible physics, biologics and human impacts or constraints?
2 - Describe the air transport impact on air quality on and around airfields. Explain the importance of using alternative fuels.
3 - Identify all the actors involved and describe for each one their actions to master noise pollution.
4 - Illustrate the ATM resources to take into account the sustainable development issue.
