EC4002 - Airlines economics

Objectives

General objective:

At the end of this course the student will be able to:
-use microeconomic concepts in order to analyse companies’ behaviour in matter of pursuit of profit, through optimisation of costs and revenues;
-describe major cost items and sources of revenue of airlines, taking into account different types of companies, and analyse influence of different parameters on costs;
- explain calculation logic of DOC-IOC (direct and indirect costs of exploitation) and describe major components of DOC.
