IN4010 - Innovation Project / Challenge
Objectives
General objective:
At the end of the course the student shall be able to:
- establish a state-of-the-art bibliography
- generate innovative ideas through specific methods
- perform a quantitative assesment of these new ideas
- Present this results during an event (forum, symposium), if requested
- Write a report or an structured article for publication purpose
- Report this resultts during an oral defence
Detailed objectives:
The students in charge will have to implement a structured and justified innovation-oriented process. This process shall be aimed at raising and assessing new and structuring ideas in the engineering field.
Starting from a subject proposed by an industrial stakeholder, this project enables students to work on new ideas, to elaborate and assess proposals, that will be confronted to other visons and perspectives, and exposed, shared and discussed among the scientific aerospace or aeronautics community.
The students will have to do a bibliography, implement innovation oreinted methods, and present the results. Here is a list of subjects that could be proposed :
1 - What would be an air transport system based on "flying cars"?
2 - Will "hub" airports still exist i nthe future? Will they be repkaced by small regional airports?
3 - How can the demand evolution disrupt the fleets and airlines structure?
4 - How will aircraft be operated in the future?
5 - How can we imagine to separate passengers transportation from bagage transportation in operation?
