MA5021 - Optimisation applied to air traffic

Objectives

General objective:

At the end of the course the student should know to apply mathematical techniques to modelise differents components of ATM system.

Detailed objectives:

Modelise optimisation problems particular for air trafic area.
Evaluate the complexity of a situation of air traffic using relevant indicators.
Evaluate the capacity of a air transport system.
Describe and apply existing methods for traffic into a network.
Transport networks theory. Sectorisation synthesis principles (2D, continued, discreet, dynamic extension 3D). Trafic assignment methods. Mathematical modelisation of airports capacities. Trafic complexity metric.
