MO4004E - Propagation channel model

MO4004E - Propagation channel model

Objectives

General objective:

Knowledge of Earth-Space propagation effects phenomenology and of current reference propagation channel models for both SatCom and SatNav systems.

Detailed objectives:

At the end of the course the student will be able to:
·Apply large panel of modeling (setting actual standards) of propagation effects on signal transmission;
·Analyze environmental impact (masking, multipath) from static deterministic models;
·Analyze the impact of troposphere (absorption, refraction and scintillation);
·Analyze the effects of ionosphere (absorption, refraction, scintillation, Faraday rotation, group delay, Doppler)
