MO4005 - Electromagnetic compatibility

MO4005 - Electromagnetic compatibility

Objectives

General objective:

Raise students’ awareness about EMC problems from design to industrialisation.

Detailed objectives:

At the end of this course the students will be able to:
-Identify major problems related to electro-magnet compatibility
-Analyse electromagnetic environment (lighting, strong fields, EMC intra-systems, Nuclear electromagnetic pulse, micro-high-power waves) and its effects on the systems
-Study electromagnetic coupling from simulation techniques
-Apply protection techniques such as cable shield
-Integrate electromagnetic compatibility in a project through description of EMC aspects from design to operational use
