NA4001 - Intergity monitoring, augmentation systems
Objectives
General objective:
This course remind to students the definition and the principle of GNSS systems. As well as the GPS performance and the air civil exigence. It presents the detailed principle of Integrity monitoring and the GBAS, SBAS, ABAS augmentations (only RAIM because GPS/INS are covered in the next course.
Detailed objectives:
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- Calculate a GPS position from pseudo distance measurements
- Know typical budget mistake of pseudo measure distance and the related failures
- Understand the OACI requirement for a positioning GNSS system
- Understand the processes implemented on the integrity control to satisfy the requirement
- Understand the calculation implemented on an algorithm of RAIM integrity control
- Know the principle of functioning and SBAS architecture system
- Know the principle of functioning and GBAS architecture system
