NA5920E - GPS L1 C/A Receiver Project
Objectives
General objective:
The objective of this course project is to make the students implement in Matlab by themselves basic signal processing functions of a GPS L1 C/A receiver. The two processing blocks that will be of interest are:
· The acquisition block,
· The tracking (PLL, DLL) block.
The processing must be tested and validated on real signals
Detailed objectives:
- Understanding of the processing module to be implemented based on the provision of an article/book.
- Definition of the architecture of the software modules to be implemented.
- Implementation of the correlation module and validation based on the theoretical correlator output model.
- Implementation either of:
o The acquisition module: serial search and FFT acquisition, definition of acquisition threshold, output of detected signal rough parameters,
o The tracking module: PLL and DLL discriminator computation, loop implementation, test of loop parameters, provision of code delay and phase/frequency output.
