OP4006 - Airline operations and computer tools

Objectives

General objective:

At the end of the course, the student shall be able to evaluate the implementation of recent or emerging concepts inside an operations engineering office of an airline.

Detailed objectives:

At the end of the course, the student shal be able to:
- explain the general principles of PBN (Performance Based Navigation),
- propose a project structure aiming to obtain operational approval of an EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) by the national authority,
- imagine a process to compute the appropriate Cost Index for a given fleet of aircraft in an airline,
- describe an EOSID and organise the realisation of such a procedure,
- assess the benefit of the implementation of data-link solutions for a flight operations office (CCO).
