Objectives

General objective:

At the end, the student shall be able to:
– Present the main domains of air transport (airworthiness, air operations, licenses) and explain the associated constraints
– Use these regulations in a professional environment

Detailed objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
– Define the actors of the air transport system
– Explain the responsibilities of the States in this system
– Explain terms « safety » and « accident »
– Describes the internationals objectives of safety

– Explain the main principles of certification (type certificate, CofA)
– Quote and classify the different types of airworthiness documents
– Make the difference between continued airworthiness and continuing airworthiness

– Define the different types of operations
– Describe the contents of an AOC
– Describe the applicable European OPS regulation
– Define the main operational documents (operations manual, MEL) and describe their contents

– Quote the applicable regulations in Europe and France
– Quote the main pilot licenses
