RG4020 - Introduction to airworthiness

Objectives

General objective:

At the end of this course, the student will be able to present the supervision system of aircraft safety through applied regulations and airworthiness procedures

Detailed objectives:

At the end of the course the student will be able to:
-Present regulating organisms (ICAO, EASA) and their roles
-Define safety objectives and describe regulatory means to achieve and maintain this minimum level of safety
-List international standards as well as major texts applicable in Europe (airworthiness and related areas)
-Know major principles edited by ICAO, as well as those of Part 21 in the matter of airworthiness
-Describe the process of certification of type/validation of type till issue of a CDN
-Detail the process from approbation of modifications to a type certificate
-Describe the process of implementation of corrective actions
