SF5002 - Dependability – safety analysis

Objectives

General objective:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Define dependability and perfom safety analysis
The constraints identified during analysis will guide architectural and design choices. Final solutions will be on system and components (human, procedures and equipment).

Detailed objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Perform a safety analysis using STPA conduire une analyse de sécurité en utilisant la méthode STPA or FHA-PSSA-SSA methodology.
STPA: System-Theoretic Process Analysis
FHA: Functional Hazard Analysis
PSSA: Preliminary System Safety Assessment
SSA: System Safety Assessment
