Objectives
General objective:
After completing the course, the student will be able to explain the main concepts related to an Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) approach and to apply the associated methodology to a basic use case
Detailed objectives:
After completing the module, the student will be able to :
- explain the main challenges to be taken up as regards the maintenance of an air transport related system
- characterise the performance a solution for maintenance / logistic support in terms reliability, maintainability, availability and costs
- describe all the logistic services and means that are required to maintain an air transport system in operational conditions
- describe the general principles to be considered to initiate a Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) approach : terminology, existing standards, ILS management, methodology
- identify the dependencies with project management, system design and safety study
- appreciate the operational availability and the life cycle cost for a system
- apply ILS methodology to a basic use case
