Objectives

General objective:

The course gives an overview of a satellite telecommunication system : history and evolution, basic principles and technical solutions.

Detailed objectives:

At the end of the course the student :
- should have an overview of basic characteristics of a space telecome system : regulation, orbits, platform and payload, ground station
-should understand and be able to calculate the statement of connection of a telecom system
-should know different access techniques
