Objectives

General objective:

Upon completion of this course, the student shall be able to:
- put into equations the main flight phases of an aircraft
- identify the flight envelope limitations due to the aircraft and their impact on performances

Detailed objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student shall be able to:
- define aircraft movement equations, then simplify them,
- model the main stabilized phases of flight,
- describe the maneuvering capabilities (load factor)
- describe and translate wind and gradient consequences into equations
- describe high speed /high altitude flight specifics
- describe take-off and landing specifics
- explain air speed issues
