CS408E - Safety analysis
Objectives
General objective:
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to present the aircraft safety system through the design principles and the production process.
Detailed objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Remind the general principles laid down by ICAO, and quote the main applicable requirements (with a focus on EASA Part 21), for designing and manufacturing a product
- Explain what the DOA and POA are, is and describe the associated constraints (EU system, equivalencies in other countries)
- Describe the type certification / validation process
- Describe production / conformity process
- Apply these principles to simple case studies
