Objectives

General objective:

This course will explain how the air transport sector is structured by reviewing all actors in the sector and their relationship. It will then focus on airlines and explain the main strategic choices facing airlines, from long-term to short-term decisions.

Detailed objectives:

At the end of this course, the learners should be able to:
- Explain the role of the diverse actors of the air transport markets and their interactions
- List the main airlines, airports, and manufacturers in the world
- Describe the objectives and economic constraints of airlines
- Explain the main strategies of each airlines type
- Explain the main market regulatory constraints and their impact on markets
- Explain the challenges facing air transport today
