Objectives
General objective:
At the end of the course, the student will be able to explain what is differentiated pricing and revenue management, and to apply those principles in a simplifed way in real cases.
Detailed objectives:
At the end of this course, the learners should be able to:
- characterize the behavior of airline demand
- explain the pricing behaviour of airlines in relation to the structure of airline markets
- determine airline prices and behaviour in a simulated environment
- explain the concepts of differential pricing, price discrimination and revenue management
- apply the principles of differential pricing and revenue management in a simplified way in real life cases in diverses industries.
