CS4602E - Technical management process

Objectives

General objective:

At the end of this training, the student will be able to explain what is a project and what is project management. He will be able to explain the link between the project management and the quality approach of a company in particular at the level of the quality control (inspection, audit, ..) and of the quality assurance. He will be able to apply various methods and tools to initialize, plan and follow a simple project.

Detailed objectives:

At the end of an autotraining via e-learning and at the end of several collective QCM corrections, the student will be able to answer 80 % of 60 questions concerning the fundamental of project management and quality.
From a specific use case,
He will be able of drafting a project charter including precise objectives and measurable acceptance criteria.
He will be able to use an appropriate method (the QQOQCP) and a PMBOk compliant model.
He will be able to build a weekly planning with "trello" and a Gantt chart with "Microsoft project".
He will be able to use the method of Ishikawa to identify the project risks and use PMBok techniques to analyze, reduce and follow these risks in a pre-formated document.
He will be able to organize a project meeting and draft a report according to a model which includes statement of decision and picture of the actions.
He will be able to build the competencies matrix of his team and use the feedback technic to better communicate on team's member difficulties
Finally, he will be able to execute a quality control on the ready for delivery of these colleagues (initiating and planning) and assess if the processes for realization were followed correctly.

Position in the programme

The first session should take place in october, just after project's presentation of the semester.
