CS4606E - Safety assurances

Objectives

General objective:

At the end of this training, the student will be able to explain the link between the project management and the safety risk management in a company. In particular at the level of the safety control (inspection, audit, ..) and of the safety assurance. He will be able to apply various methods and tools to initialize, plan and follow a medium-risk safety case.

Detailed objectives:

At the end of an autotraining via e-learning and at the end of several collective QCM corrections, the student will be able to answer 80 % of 60 questions concerning the fundamental of safety assurance.
From a specific use case,
He will be able of drafting a safety case charter including objectives and measurable acceptance criteria.
He will be able to use an appropriate method for High-confidence systems and a compliant model.
He will be able to build a safety case diagram with Microsoft Visio.
He will be able to use the method of Tie-Bow to identify the safety risks and use Brainstorming FMEA, Fault Tree techniques to analyze, reduce and follow these risks in a pre-formated document.
He will be able to organize a safety meeting and draft a report according to a model which includes statement of decision and picture of the actions.
Finally, he will be able to execute a safety control on the ready for delivery of these colleagues (initiating and planning) and assess if the processes for realization were followed correctly.
