Objectives

General objective:

At the end of this course, the students will be able to describe an overview of:
- the air transport system,
- its components (airports, airlines, ATM, aircraft, manufacturers, etc.) and their functions and interactions, and
- its technical, regulatory and operational features.

Detailed objectives:

At the end of this course, the students will be able to:
- Give orders of magnitude for operational features of airplanes, and describe trends between these features.
- Describe the Air Transport System, its development, stakes and perspectives, and the contribution of each of its components.
- Describe a preliminary functional analysis of the Air Transport System
- List the different categories of airplanes and describe their specific features
- Recognize selected airplanes, describe their specific geometric features, identify their manufacturers, give estimation of their operational features
