Objectives

General objective:

The students will get a transversal vision of the airport in order to be able to understand the situation, the context and the possible causes or consequences of the solutions they might want to implement for an airport in its totality.
After completing this module, the students will be able to :
• Describe the layout of an airport, the main airport activities and operations, and the main safety and security means.
• Describe the specific airport systems.

Detailed objectives:

After completing this module, the students will be able to :
• Describe the airport facilities according to the type of aviation they are intended to serve;
• Identify the applicable airport regulation;
• List the main airport stakeholders;
• Identify the different parts of the movement area and related protections;
• Describe the main airport operations principles;
• Describe the risk assessment in the airport system;
• Describe the interactions between airport stakeholders at business, functional and technical levels;
• Describe the main airport systems and their interactions.
