Objectives

General objective:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to present the air transport system as well as the aircraft safety oversight system, through the role of the international bodies, the applicable technical regulations and the associated approvals.

Detailed objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:


- remind the safety objectives for the commercial aviation and describe the link with the air transport regulations


[International bodies]
- present the main regulatory bodies (ICAO, EASA), explain their role and responsibilities, and describe the main principles brought by their regulations


[Air transport regulations & associated approvals]
- for each domain of the Air Transport Regulations, quote the applicable regulations (ICAO standards, EASA regulations) and list the main certificates / approvals addressed by these regulations
