CA227 - BASIC Surveillance practical training

Objectives

General objective:

The trainee provides Air Traffic Services within Upper Airspace (IFR only) as EC and CC.
Basic radar vectoring techniques are acquired during this period.

Detailed objectives:

The Planner Controller (PC) student masters the defined working method to ensure safe traffic flow, according to task sharing, listening to the frequency as much as possible.
The Radar Controller (RC) student masters the defined working method to ensure safe traffic flow, according to task sharing.
The student as PC and/or RC masters the tools of his working station.
The student as PC and/or RC applies the defined instructions of the Operations Manual in his actions.
The student as PC and/or RC formulates clear, precise and concise messages at the appropriate time.
The student as PC and/or RC utilises a strip.
The student as PC and/or RC when receiving or emitting a message, simultaneously carries-out the corresponding actions on the strip board.
