EA204 - Aerodrome (Aerodrome and Approach)


General objective:

Explain the components of an airport ground plane and its zoning.
Describe the design of a maneuvering area for its exploitation by aircraft.
Explain how traffic area works.
Specify the aerodrome data to communicate to users.
Define the physical characteristics of runways and taxiways.

Take into account:
- the limitations to ensure the close obstacles
- the safety standards to be respected
- And possible markup to implement.

Describe the out of order runway light zone.

Be able to differentiate air navigation aids to implant according the airport accessibility.

Consider the state of the floor and the state of the cover surface especially during difficult weather conditions.

Describe the functions and implantation of visual aids which are required for the aerodrome exploitation.
