MO4004E - Modèle de canaux de propagation

Objectifs

Objectif général :

The objectives are to assess the impact of the medium and the near-by environment on any radiofrequency link (attenuation, scattering, frequency spreading...), with respect to the signal frequency, the link geometry and the antenna characteristics.
The main qualitative parameters that characterize the impact of the propagation channel are introduced and treated during tutorial classes. Moreover, on-going research on propagation channel modellings is presented and used as a basis to assess these parameters. Therefore, both research and operational aspects of the propagation channel modellings are dealt with here.

Objectifs détaillés :

− identify what causes the signal impairment
− using ITU recommendations, choose the appropriate model and calculate the attenuation
− size an RF system to guarantee the RF link
− assess the impact of the modification of the medium or the near-by environment on the RF signal
