Objectifs

Objectif général :

At the end of the course the student will be able to :
- use the basic results of mechanics of material in order to calculate internal stress and strain on simplified structures and loading conditions representative of aircraft structures (beams)
- define the strength and deformation of a simplified structures

Objectifs détaillés :

At the end of the course the student will be able to :
- calculate the stress and the strain due to traction/compression, bending moment, transverse force and torsion torque for beams under simplified loading.
- calculate the stress in structural joints joints
