Objectifs

Objectif général :

At the end of this training, the student will have basics on safety assurance of complex systems including:
-definition of basis notions, historic, pursued objectives, safety analysis and process defined by system risk management.

Some specific tools or méthodologies will be presented to developp safety assurance case.

At the end of this training, the student will be able to:

Explain Safety Assurance case process:
Safety risk assessment at global system level
Control of hazardous situations at sub-systems level
Specifying Safety and mitigation requirements
View an hazardous situation using Bowtie XP tool
Perform STPA at global system level (control structure and unsafe contriol action)
Perform FHA-PSSA-SSA at subsystem level

STPA: System-Theoretic Process Analysis
FHA: Functional Hazard Assessment
PSSA: Preliminary System Safety Assessment
SSA: System Safety Assessment
