To study the basic concepts of aerodynamics and flight mechanics and thus provide the knowledge which is essential to understanding the operating techniques and the aerodynamic behaviour of an aircraft in its different flight envelopes.
Detailed objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student shall be able to:
- Apply the principles of aircraft flight mechanics and dynamics, in order to determine the aircraft performances and flight characteristics
- Quote and interpret the flight certification requirements for aircraft, and explain them physically
- Quote the main demonstration means, including flight tests, used to demonstrate compliance with the requirements
