AE6012E - Structure
Objectives
General objective:
At the end of the module, the student will be able to study and calculate the distribution of mechanical stresses and constraints in a material, in order to define the operating limits of a structure or item of equipment
Detailed objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student shall be able to:
- Describe the criteria for choosing aeronautical materials, determine and evaluate the associated regulatory requirements
- Quote the principles for designing the aircraft structures, determining their dimensional loads, and evaluating their resistance and their aging
- Describe the applicable approaches for the certification of metal and composite structures, and the definition of their limits
- Quote and interpret the certification requirements and means of compliance applicable to materials and structure
- Improve, in autonomy, his/her knowledge of the regulatory certification texts applicable to materials and structure
