Objectives

General objective:

After completing this module, the student will be able to describe aspects of the human factor likely to impact air transport safety.

Detailed objectives:

After completing this module, the student will be able to :
- Be aware of some operators cognitive and physiological limitations
- Cite examples of accidents and incidents connected with the HF and explain them
- Understand regulations concerning the HF
- Describe the way in which such regulations are implemented
- Describe Human Factors approaches in representative industrial processes
- Define the place and role of the operator within automatic systems
- Define the impact of automation on operator performance
- Describe safety risk management connected with the HF
- Describe the methods used for reporting and analysing safety incidents
