Objectives
General objective:
Thanks to this module, the student/applicant will be able to work in teams on SMS development, implementation, assessment and maintaining for a maintenance organisation, from the complete analysis of itself and its environment, from the understanding of its characteristics, and by taking into account the regulatory requirements
Detailed objectives:
After completing this module, the student will be able to:
• Analyse the characteristics of a maintenance organisation
• Analyse the interactions and dependencies with its environment: External entities like suppliers, CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation), Prime contractors, Constructors, Authorities and regulations.
• Analyse the hazards intrinsic to its own activities and coming from its environment
• Manage the risks associated to the identified dangers
• Create a safety action plan applicable to the maintenance organisation and processes
• Organize an efficient data collection and data analysis system of hazardous situations:
• Develop tools for safety related to training and communication
• Implement a “just culture” in order to facilitate and promote the voluntary report
• Employ the right indicators, and choose the appropriate methods and audits to manage the SMS into a manufacturer’s organisation
• Assess the SMS and measure the safety performance
