Objectives

General objective:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to describe the different aspects of the aircraft maintenance from the design to the aircraft operation and to the end of its life in the in the air transport context

Detailed objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
•Describe the main aspect of the aircraft maintenance, the role and responsibilities main stakeholders (manufacturers, operators, airworthiness authorities, MRO companies and service providers)
•Identify the maintenance market, the segments and the future requirements
•Describe how the new technologies, digitalization and big data management will impact the maintenance activities.
•Identify the aircraft maintenance cost
•Identify the international organizations and the main standards and regulations applicable to the aircraft maintenance
•Identify the main aspects of the aircraft dismantling and recycling
•Describe how today engineers and technicians are trained
•Identify which are the human factors maintenance related risks
